Greenway was most delightful very well kept, nicely laid out and surrounded by beautiful country side. Some of the days it rained and the mist hung over the hills other days the sun came out.
We visited the unspoilt market town of Ludlow which had great character and fascinating architecture with castle, church, medieval and Georgian buildings filling the historic town centre. On Monday several of us went on a guided tour round Ludlow the walk lasted over 2 hours and was very interesting. We were all exhausted so we only saw the castle in the distance. Several of us made several attempts to have a pub meal but they were either full or the chef was away. Fortunately, we did find a very old pub and the food was delicious.
On the way to Ludlow we went through Ludlow Gulf Course and which was shared with Ludlow Race Course. The race course went over the road in two places we could only presume that they put grass on the road and closed the road when they were racing.
A big thank you to our hard working Marshals Mike and Chris Pitchford and David and Barbara Morphey. We all gathered in the gazebo city for tea and coffee in the evenings . One evening we had a lovely selections of different cheeses and on another evening Chris and Barbara made some delightful deserts.
It was a lovely rally in beautiful Shropshire.
