Home in on Honiton Rally, Devon, 1st - 3rd August 2008
by Matthew Wallace(aged 13)
I set off with my mum and dad with the car and caravan loaded right up as we were co-marshals for the first time, we arrived at the field and waited for John and Val to arrive so we could set up the site.
The Rally started on the Thursday at 14:00hrs the field was pegged out waiting for the vans and they arrived quite promptly. That evening we had a cup of tea and home made ginger biscuits (made by my mum).
Friday afternoon we were lucky to have home made scones, jam and cream of which were made fresh that morning by Val.
Saturday most people headed off to the street market, the weather was very kind to us as my mum and dad got a few rays of sun, and we had a communal barbecue early evening and a social get together in the evening.
Sunday we had flag, and then the horrible bit, load up, so we could go home.
