Well after an early start at 4:30 in the morning, (and if you knew me that is impossible) Preparing for a long day ahead of us, which was surprisingly not that bad as I was asleep most of the way! I had decided to sleep in the tent whilst I was there, so I had to put that up. The next day I spent the whole day in the pool and at the beach with Emma and Georgina as it was a really hot day.

On Monday 10th of August, we celebrated David and Mavis’ 55th wedding anniversary.

The next day was amazing weather so we spent it down Pentewan beach with my family (We all got really sunburnt), that evening was Tracy’s birthday. Later that evening, my family and I joined Alison, Nigel, Polly, Tim and Caroline. We had a great evening.

Wednesday, my family and I went to Padstow for lunch at Rick Stein’s restaurant. It was delicious!

Thursday I spent the day with Georgina and Emma, we went to the cinema and then went swimming when we got back. It was so hot that day that even Pete and Phil joined us, that evening we had a communal BBQ.

Friday evening we had a Duck Race held by The Lions Club. The race was open to all public; out of 500 ducks Nigel Deacon came 2nd. Well done Nigel ha-ha. Tim, Caroline, mum, dad, Abi and I celebrated Nigel’s victory with him, Alison and Polly in their awning.

On Sunday the marshals cooked beacon and sausage rolls for all hungry ralliers, they also provided us with Cream Tea, (they do spoil us don’t they?) Today we celebrated Chris and Mike Plant’s 400th rally... I went to the Cornish market with my family that day. In the evening we had a roast with Alison, Nigel, Polly, Tim and Caroline.

On Monday I went to Perran Porth beach with the family. We went body boarding and had a great time! We had an evening all for fresh Cornish Pasties and proper Cornish Cider, Thanks to the marshals for setting that up for everyone.

Tuesday my family and I went to the Cornish Goodies shop to get presents for friends and family. We were also all booked in for a trip to the cider farm.

Wednesday we took a quick visit to Lands End.

On Thursday was not only flag but it was my 14th birthday! Linda and Geoff Rudge won lucky van; their prize was an engraved rolling pin. Tim and Caroline Ayres won the bingo. Our very own Ex-ACM Alison Deacon made the ACM speech. The marshals thanked Richard and Jo for the tea tent, Paula and Greg (mum and dad) for the NEW flag (First to use it). Followed by an All American Supper, as they were celebrating Jo and Richard’s 50th rally they supplied the desserts. As it was my birthday I got a large birthday cake and they all sang happy birthday to me... (Slightly embarrassing)

From then on till Saturday we packed up to go home. Thanks for an amazing rally!

Now where do I start with the marshals, Hmmm...? Let me think. As I will be seeing them again soon, I better be careful of the words I use. Over the fortnight the marshals have been treading on egg shells around me, choosing their words very carefully, as they know my reputation for my rally reports. I must say that I had a great time in Cornwall, congrats to Phil, Val, Emma and Georgina, and Pete and Margaret on holding a great rally. As for Pete and Margaret, not only was it a holiday rally but it was their first rally as marshals, very well done.
