Christmas Meal & Shopping at Bath 20-22 November 2009 by Danielle Mann |

What a good weekend! Pat, Pete, Terry and Sandra did a great job! I arrived on Friday, that night it was Children In Need. The marshals felt that we should take part, so Auntie Sandra made a Children In Need cake. They decided that they were going to raffle the cake off, my sister and I sold the raffle tickets. The tickets were drawn out towards the end of the night, and Cyndy and Tony Elkins won the cake. That night, we raised £41 for the charity.
On the Saturday, the weather was still awful, it was a free day to do whatever you felt like. So that day, my mum and I caught the park and ride to Bristol. They had the largest shopping center I have ever seen so far! I wanted to stay there all day, but we had to come back for the evening's first activity, Mulled Wine! I personally don't drink but I heard that it was very nice.
Later that evening, we took a long walk down to the local restaurant/pub, The Dolphin. The meal was lovely, that evening they decided to do flag as the weather wasn't going to be very nice the next day, so people probably wanted to just pack up and go.
The next day was cold and rainy, just as it was predicted, so they made the second half of flag as quick as possible. The children's competitions were won by Abigail Mann, and myself as we were the only children there. For the grown up's competition, Ron and Jo Schofield won. That was followed by raffle, then it was time to pack up and leave.
Thank you for a very enjoyable rally, I had a great time!
