Stuck switch on power modular system

Postby Dufay » January 26th, 2009, 9:10 pm

Hi. I have a 1998 Swift Challenger fitted with a PMS2000GL power management system. Last summer, but water heater switch jammed. One minute it was fine, the next it was totally stuck in the off position. This wasn't a problem, as for some reason there is another water heater switch under the seating and we got hot water. I could live with that. Now, the water pump switch has jammed also. As before, it switched on / off fine with no apparent problem, but suddenly the switch just jammed solid. The water pump will now not switch on and I can't get any running water in the van.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? Do you have any suggestions as to how I might fix it, or might a service centre be the best option?

Many thanks, Dufay

Hi Dufay, You should be able to get the switches from any decent caravan outlet, they are a push in fit, failing that most branches of Halfords stock a suitable replacement,if you are really struggling e-mail me with your details and I'll send you one.

My switches got stuck and I sprayed them with silicon awning rail spray or try thetford toilet seal spray
Worked fine for me
