Solar panels

Does anyone know if I can connect two solar panels together to get more watts?

Not sure about Watts, but linking them together in series will give you more Volts.

I assume both the panels you have in mind are a nominal 12 volts each so I doubt if you want 24 volts by connecting them in series. You can indeed connect the panels in parallel to get more current (and therfore watts) but, to work well, it's best if the two panels are identical. When using solar panels always use a regulator to avoid 'boiling' your battery.
