I am thinking of getting a SAT NAV at a resonable price and easy to use, any comments and advise would be welcomed

Hi Glen

I can not comment on other sat nav But I have the Tom Tom 300 ( old model now )

For me the Tom tom range has very good back up and support from the TT web site

Probably the best support by independent web sites
Most of the POI are free even from Tom tom
Speed cameras at about £ 20 a year dependent where you get them from

The computer program Tom Tom "home "allows you to operate the TT sat nav , down load POI , use a program called TYRE with google earth., Free map and firmware up dates and map share
Back up the TT files including down loads
Plus much more

I might suggest that once you have bought your device you take a look at this site:
http://uk.mypoiworld.com/
I use it for finding campsites all over Europe and it's been invaluable.

Hi,

I use Tomtom on a PDA and would recommend www.pocketgpsworld.com for info on devices, a great forum on help re sat navs and FREE POI's to download along with other great bits.
