Sky Light Measurements

Postby mike142sl » March 5th, 2010, 5:51 pm

Can anyone tell me the dimensions of the main roof light on my Challenger 470 (2007), I want to fit a solar panel in it whilst stored but could do with knowing the width etc. Too far away in storage to nip out and measure it.

Thanks

Mike

The size is approximately 780 x 530 mm, but as the rooflight is made of plastic it will tend to absorb much of the UV light that solar panels rely on. Your idea will work but don't expect great performance.

Good point, might just drop it outside onto the roof and put the cable under the roof light. Thought about dropping the cable down the side but think it might look inviting to anyone who might be walking past etc.
