This was a 1940's style weekend to commemorate the 57th anniversary of Battle of Britain Day on a lovely site
adjacent to a disused WW2 airfield. My thanks to Barbara Roberts for sending the following report - Webmaster
We were transported back to the 1940's and the Battle of Britain. We were issued with Ration Books and Identity Cards which we had to carry with us.
We were shown to our parking bay by a "spitfire" piloted by Richard.
Unfortunately, he was having is tea when we arrived so we were guided along the runway by Dave and Alan
On Saturday evening we had a social in the "NAFFI" which had been put through the Tardis and was back to 1940. There was a prize for the best decorated table and we were all asked to be in fancy dress which was a laugh. We then and a 1940's American Supper.
Our hard working marshals put so much thought and effort into making the rally so authentic and the transformation in the barn was amazing.
Thank you to Carol and Alan Druce and Dave and Jan Spall for all their hard work, it was different and fun.
