Another AGM rally has come and gone, what a good weekend we had.  The weather unusually wasn’t too bad - it was generally dry and sunny, but did get chilly when the sun set. Organisers - you just about got the weather right, well done!

It was nice to arrive set your van up and wander up to the fish and chip van, then eat your tea, no cooking, little clearing up. Then down to the social side meeting friends you have not seen for some time.accompanied of course by a drink or two, or three, or four!!!

As usual in Swift AGMs there was a variety of things put on for members all weekend, but no pressure to attend. Saturday morning saw bargains to be had by the members very own table top sale followed after dinner by something new,  a get together with new members. What a worth while thing to do to get  recently joined members to integrate into the club  meeting existing members. Let's give all new members a welcome, we sometimes forget we were new members once.

Later the Chairman’s Challenge, a closely guarded secret but it eventually was revealed to be a competition of Jenga between Areas, much to the amusement of the supporters with some light hearted banter. Well done  to the winners. Saturday evening was rounded off by our very own DJ Tony entertaining us.

Sunday morning saw the business side of the weekend, a bit hard going at times, decisions had to be made, some were harder to make than others. Items were well debated around the floor and decisions made. The committee was elected for the next year, The club appears to be in good hands for the next 12 months, good luck to all of you in steering the club forward.

Sunday evening was Party night - nice after the morning's business for officers, committee and members to be able to relax. We had Duo Live and Kicking to dance to and to entertain us and a comedian/impressionist Christopher Gee who had members laughing. How did he do that act, and how could he move so quickly. A good all round evening.

Monday morning saw flag and the raffle - what a lot prizes. Most people left on Sunday afternoon it took most of the afternoon saying our goodbyes.  A few members stayed the extra night.,

Where did the weekend go, no sooner had we arrived than it was time to go, the weekend seemed to fly by - where did the time go? Well done organisers for a full packed, enjoyable weekend. Thanks to all for their hard work, it is appreciated by us all.
