Dolbeare Caravan & Camping Park was a delightful place to stay in the beautiful Cornish country side. It was very clean and tidy and well thought out which included a play area for the children and a large chess set. The site was run by Ian and Chris who were a very hard working lovely couple.

We arrived on Wednesday and Thursday we went to Boscastle which was beautiful with stunning views. On Friday we went to see the Eden Project which was very interesting. The site is very well run and parking is free. The car parks are named after fruit and vegetables and we were in Plum 1. We got on a bendy bus and finally on a tractor pulling carriages.

On Saturday we did some shopping and our 2 cats Mickey and Minni were sitting outside and Minni disappeared. We searched for her and kept calling her name. We were meant to leave on Monday morning but stayed on until Tuesday. We decided to go to a CS site in Henlade, Taunton that we used to go to years ago. Tuesday afternoon we had a call from Chris at Dolbeare to say that she had seen Minnie. Martin drove back to Dolbeare and I stayed in the caravan with Mickey he spent the day with the Chris and still no site of Minni came back to Henlade a round trip of 162 miles.

Chris and Ian were very good and gave us all sorts of information including the Cats Protection League who were very helpful. We arrived home on Thursday and on Saturday morning we had a telephone call from the Farmers' wife Christine to say that she had seen Minni by the hay barn. We jumped into the car and went back to Cornwall. Christine explained where she had last seen Minni. Martin knelt on the grass and put his head through a gap and there was Minni on a ledge. She had been missing for 8 days. Christine invited us in for a cup of tea and some beautiful home made cakes and we met Ivan her husband. We went back to Dolbeare to thank Chris and Ian and they gave us a poster that they had made. Martin then drove home which was a round trip of 500 miles.

We are now looking at Loc8tors to put on their collars and a hand set to track them down.

A big thank you to our hard working marshals Sam and Andy Wallace and Moira and Roger Cullington and to Chris and Ian from Dolbeare and Christine and Ivan from the farm.
