All Jammed Inn at the Hare and Hounds

Layer Breton, nr Tiptree - Essex

23 - 25th October 2009

We arrived on Friday which was a very pleasant day. Tony Hawkins had erected 2 large tents and came with a fire that went on gas and lots of ribbon lights so we were in a large covered area which was nice and warm in the evenings.

Saturday arrived and it rained most of the day then Sunday came with the sun and we had flag out in the sunshine which was very nice.

On Saturday evening we had a double celebration for the White's. It was Rosemary's 65th birthday and John's birthday was near but he kept his age a secret. They handed round some lovely cake and bubbles. We also did lots of quizzes you had to guess what the pictures were and each page was a different theme

A lot of us visited Tiptree the jam factory which was very interesting. On Sunday after flag we went for a drive in the lovely Essex countryside before going home.

There were about 16 vans on the field behind the Hare and Hounds and was vey nice in the lovely country side.

Many thanks to Tony Hawkins our ACM for bringing all the extras so we had some where warm and dry and to our hardworking marshals Mike and Lyn Howarth and Phil and Denise Dent.
