We arrived at Cricklade, Wiltshire to a warm welcome by the marshals. The day was sunny all be it a little bit chilly.

After siting our van we had a chat to some of the other ralliers. In the evening we went to the tea tent and had a nice hot cup of coffee, and then went to the local Pub which was situated just outside the rally field (very convenient), to have our evening meal. The food was very good and we can recommend it to anyone who may be  visiting that area.

Saturday morning arrived and it was lovely and sunny. We were treated to bacon rolls and bucks fizz by Terry and Sandra Milsom in celebration of their 250th rally. The Marshals also had the urn going for us to have tea/coffee, a nice treat first thing in the morning. The day carried on with beautiful sun and we went shopping to Swindon for a while and then came back to enjoy the sun.

The local village hall had been arranged for us for the evening. During the evening Laura and Stuart did a quiz with a difference. There were several parts to this quiz, and it was very entertaining. They must have put a lot of effort into it and it was not easy for them as there were so many people in the hall, well done to you both.

During the evening a presentation was made to Terry and Sandra by David Bubb. He talked about when they first met, the many rallies they have been on together and the great fun they have had. Also that Terry and Sandra are great ambassadors of the club, since joining in 1992 and they first rallied in March 1993. They have both made many friends during those years and we all hope they have many more years of happy rallying to come.

Sunday morning arrived with it being the complete opposite to Saturday. Raining and very windy. During flag Michael said that he was feeling that he had let people down as his reputation of the ‘Rain Man’ came under question and as it had been nice up until that morning, but down came the rain so your reputation still stands Michael. There were two presentations during flag, Amelia (Millie) Cartwright aged just over 3 months got her 5th rally plaque and Abigail Mann 11 got her 20th well done to you both.

I would like to thank the marshals, Michael & Jeanette Cartwright and Laura, Stuart Parsons (not forgetting Millie) for all your hard work before and during the rally.
