Easter Rally

Seaford Head Community College, Susssex

1st to 6th April 2010

On Wednesday 31st March our hard working marshals had a phone call from Plumpton College first thing in the morning to say that the rally was cancelled as the field was flooded. Marshals Paula and Gregg Mann and Pat and Peter Vowles managed to rescue the situation with help from the Executive Committee.

Seaford Head Community College is a lovely college and we had the use of the hall every evening and sometimes during the day. Most of the vans/motor homes were able to park on the playground we had a lovely spot overlooking the playing field. The sea was only a short distance away and we could hear the waves and the seagulls.

On Thursday evening we met up for a natter and tea and coffee. On Saturday we had a disco and on Sunday we had a delicious American Supper with Tony Hawkins playing his own disco. We also had hot cross buns and cake.

The weather was mixed but it did not deter any one from going out and following the coast roads, unfortunately, we saw Beachy Head through heavy rain. It was lovely watching the sheep with the new born lambs munching away at the grass. Mother nature was waking up and the sun was doing its best.

A big thank you to Paula and Gregg as first time marshals and to Pat and Peter Vowles assisted by Danielle and Abigail.
