Triple Pearl Rally

Stratford Racecourse

18 – 21 March.

We arrived at Stratford lunch time Thursday and as this was to be Millie’s first weekend in the caravan, Laura and Stuart arrived laden with more equipment than ever before!  Having set the vans up, Michael arrived from his trip up north.  One day I am going to swap roles!
Thursday night saw tea and coffee in the Swift Tent for those hardy enough to brave the wind and rain.  From Friday we had full use of the hall on site.  Evening coffee continued on and eventually the marshals put the lights out to make us all go home, a hazard of having a hall on Friday!

Saturday arrived and Bucks Fizz was provided by the “Pearlies”.  There was an excellent American Supper provided by the ralliers.   This was followed by a celebration cake, baked by Lyn Phillips.  The evening rounded off with dancing and chat in the hall ‘til late.

Sunday morning saw the usual flag.  There were two first time ralliers and three children collected their “Passports”, on their first rally.

On a personal note, may I thank everyone who gave us cards and presents over the weekend and to John, Val, Maureen and Ron for all their hard work running the rally.
