'Brean Again', once again a superb rally organised by Terry, Sandra, Greg and Di. We arrived to a warm welcome and a nice cup of tea, and settled down to a relaxing weekend. On the Friday evening there was the usual get together with fellow ralliers and meeting up with  friends  we haven’t seen since last summer.

Saturday arrived with a sunny day all be it a bit chilly in the wind. It was caravan/motor home open day at Northam Farm and there was a lot of people looking around. We went for long walk along the sands at Brean. The sun was in and out from under the clouds but with the walking we kept warm. On our return to site we had a quick look around the caravans then went to the marquee they had put up. There we had a free pork roll with apple sauce, which they had cooked on an open spit, this included a cup of tea or coffee for those who wanted it.

In the afternoon there was an invite for anyone who wanted to come and join in the celebrations for Terry and Sandra’s 40th Ruby wedding anniversary. We were treated to lots of nibbles and several glasses of Bucks Fizz and of course a piece of  anniversary cake (made by Sandra) all supplied by them. Peter Vowles then did a speech congratulating them both and proposed a toast to many more happy years together.

On Saturday evening the marshals had arranged for a meal in a local Bar/Restaurant for anyone on the rally who wished to come. This was a carvery and a choice of Pork or Beef followed by a selection of puddings. The meal was delicious and I for one really enjoyed the fact that I didn’t have to cook. After the meal there was an impromptu game of skittles for those wanting to have a go. Several of us did and the winner was Laura King. She being only twelve had more energy than us after a big meal.

Sunday arrived and thankfully was dry and we hoped it would keep up until the tea tents where taken down, thankfully it turned out to be a nice day. Laura King was presented with her children’s passport as it was her first rally and Terry said that he hoped she’d enjoyed it and that she would come again. He then thanked everyone for coming and a safe journey home.

There were 24 vans on this rally and I think that everyone had a nice and relaxing time, always made easier by a hard working team. My thanks go to Terry and Sandra Milsom and Greg and Di Stokes for a lovely rally - looking forward to next year's already.
