malvern show

We arrived on Friday evening to a lovely site in the countryside at the back of the farm in a quiet secluded spot, one side were two beautiful horses and the other the rolling hills of Malvern... What more could you ask for after a busy week at work?

It was nice to catch up with old friends Friday evening and then an earlyish night was required for the early start the following morning to beat the traffic into the 3 counties show, however it is not the show we are all used to full of caravan's, this was a much more colourful show featuring many different varieties of flowers, trees and shrubs. There was a large variety of stalls for us to part with a few pounds and we even enjoyed an ice cream in the beautiful sunshine!

Saturday evening we gathered in the tents in typical swift style for a communal BBQ followed by a couple of light hearted games... Call my bluff to start and I have to applaud Richard for his ability to pronounce the most complex words given to him to read out, I can only imagine who stitched him up on that one this was then followed by a game that I have never seen before but involved a big circle, 3 5ps each and 3 dice, it was a simple and fun game that soon became very tense towards the end to see who would win the pot of money, this was eventually won by Matthew Gardner.

Sunday morning and unfortunately time to go home for some, the farmer kindly took people to see his piglets after flag which were just like little dogs that loved rolling over and having their bellies rubbed.

Finally just enough time left for us to find a couple more Geocache's before we headed home, a steep walk in the Malvern Hills to finish off a brilliant weekend … and not forgetting a well earned ice cream!

A fantastic traditional swift rally run by the Dowler’s and ably assisted by the Gardner’s... A brilliant weekend had by all, thank you :-)
