Rally Reports

Rallying is the main activity of the Club. We hold around 75 rallies each year including several continentals. All rallies are open to both caravans and motorhomes. As a responsible Club with a 28 day exemption certificate from DEFRA we can rally in many places not normally accessible to the public. These include national parks, stately homes, outdoor museums and so on.

If you like mixing with other people you'll really enjoy rallying. There is a great spirit of camaraderie and someone is always ready to lend a hand should you need it. A typical rally will last 2-3 days have about 20-25 outfits. Of course some rallies are much longer (e.g. holiday rallies) and some (e.g. the AGM rally) much larger.

It's true that many rallies are in areas without mains power but it's quite possible to manage without it for extended periods. Fridges, water heaters and space heaters are all dual fuel and can be powered with gas. A decent solar panel can also make a huge difference. If you are concerned about this aspect of rallying why not read our article 'No hook-up - no problem'.

Over the last few years we have seen huge growth in the number of motorhome owners joining the Club. Motorhomes are now common on most rallies so we do bear them in mind when choosing venues. Whatever your outfit you can be sure of a a warm welcome. The menus on this page on this page link to rally reports from the last few years.

By the way we have an active Junior section, complete with its own rally reports.

Finally, a word of warning - rallying can be addictive!
