2005/6 New Year Rally - Newbury

Just returned from the Newbury New year rally and had to write to say a great big thank you to everybody involved in what was a superb event (again). The team of Paul & Lyn, Mike & Jeanette, Ron, Maureen & Brian and last, but by no means least Mike & Chris did us proud.

After our arrival on Wednesday we were welcomed with a light meal of Jacket potatoes followed by various deserts, and it just got better from there on. How on earth Mike and Ron managed to carve hot roast beef so thinly and uniformly amazed us all.

The team fed us for four nights and provided music, fun and games (including a short pantomime – Dick Whittington). Well done, you richly deserve your retirement.

We only hope that having volunteered to be part of next years team we can maintain the high standard everyone has become used to.
