AGM Rally - Newark on Trent

27th April - 1st May 2006

AGM's are boring. Necessary but decidedly boring. We didn't think we'd bother but our kids persuaded us. Our kids? I hear you say. Yes well their mates were going so we had no choice. Of course the go carting, wax painting with an iron, disco, casino night, comedienne and a great live band did not influence us a jot!

The weather was freezing; most unseasonable really. We must have looked a bit daft dancing with our coats on! By the Sunday night Kelvin and his team had found some big heaters so things were much better. They made some strange noises and gave the comedienne a run for her money. Mind you she sung like a tuned foghorn so they didn't really stand a chance!

We're fairly new to the SOC but we were made to feel very welcome and can't wait to get out on our next rally. We never believed it could be so much fun. Thanks to all those who worked so hard to give us a really enjoyable weekend.
