Wild Nights in Ashwell

The O’Roberts and the O’Hawkes decided to celebrate St Patrick’s Day in style in Ashwell a good venue in county Hertfordshire. Everything was set up on our arrival the party tent decked out gaily in orange white and green bunting and flags on a nice green and level field.

Saturday evening became windy but it did not stop the evening's events. We were fed with Irish stew followed by apple crumble to the accompaniment of Irish music. Superb it was they were ably assisted for the meal by that other well known family the O’Goffs the night became wilder but it everyone handled it in their stride.

The Roberts rallies are always different, this was no exception, my thanks to you together with the Hawkes family and the Goffs, long may they continue to run rallies of this calibre, we always enjoy their rallies and the rewards of the hard work they put into them.
